The Gospel of Thomas

Fully Interpreted

From Alpha to Omega

Before the beginning of the Self’s life journey the Self existed in a dormant state, it was absent of all knowledge, even the knowledge of its own existence.

The beginning of the Self’s life journey began when it became aware of its own existence. Therefore the cause of life is the recognition of Truth.

The Self’s vibrational state is what the Self recognizes as feeling; to feel is to know.

The perception of knowledge has the power to alter the Self’s vibrational state, and therefore what the Self feels.

In the beginning was the Truth and the Truth was with the Self, and the Truth was the Self

The first knowledge that the Self acquired was the Truth of its existence and it felt good, it was pleasurable; it had raised the Self’s state of vibration.

It is because of the desire for more pleasure that the Self seeks more knowledge. It is desire that first moved the Self, it is the wind in our sails. In the beginning we knew only Love and Truth, and the end will be the same for every one of us.

Righteous Love is the feeling of pleasure, derived from the effect of the perception of Truth.

Righteous Love is dependent on Truth, but Truth is not dependent on Love.

The desire to share ones righteous Love is a desire to share ones righteous feelings, and in the sharing there is a joining as one.

It is those who desire to share their righteous Love that are faithful witnesses to Truth.

Life was good until the Self discovered the pleasure in knowledge that was not of Truth, and yet such knowledge is necessary for choice and for wisdom.

Where there is no choice there is no responsibility for ones actions, and so how then can any credit or glory be claimed? How then can faith be tested?

Truth is the fabric of uncorrupted reality. It cannot be created because it has always existed. It can only be discovered, recognized and absorbed into one’s Self.

It is that which is not of Truth that is created by the Self in its own imagination, and it does so in pursuit of pleasures that are unrighteous, and reasoned out of ignorance, which is blindness to Truth. What then is there but foolish judgement?

It is the pursuit of pleasure by any means that gives rise to a passion that is contrary to the natural order of Truth. There then arises a disturbance within. It is why we become spiritually sick and die, losing the life that was experienced through Truth.

It is those who say; ‘If it feels good do it’ who lead others from the Truth.

Those who search for Truth must search with righteous Love in their hearts if they are to find it.

Righteous Love and Truth are eternal as is the Self. All other things are temporary.

We are here to learn the difference between that which is righteous and that which is not, and it is in the choosing that wisdom stands or falls.

In the process of learning, mistakes are inevitable and there is no one who has not made a mistake in their life.

Mistakes are made due to the absence of knowledge and understanding that would have prevented them. The more we learn, the less mistakes we make.

To be guilty of a sin requires full knowledge and understanding.

Sin is what is done when we adulterate the Truth deliberately, and act upon it with fore knowledge and understanding of the consequences.

With mistakes there is regret, with sin there is none.

Where there is Love in the heart there is regret for mistakes, but where there is no Love there can be no regret, or feelings of guilt.

Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Apparently even the Lord makes mistakes.

It is to spiritual teachers that people turn to for spiritual knowledge and guidance, but if those teachers can’t answer questions concerning their teachings, then are they not susceptible to making mistakes, and therefore responsible for the mistakes of those they teach?

Every belief system is based on an organized structure of knowledge. The structure is the framework on which hangs the teachings. The foundations on which stands the structure is faith. If that faith is in Truth then the foundation will be solid like rock, and the structure will stand when tested. If the foundations are of faith that is not in Truth, then it will be as if the structure is built on sand, and it will fall when tested.

Those who search for Truth must first begin with the foundations, then the structure that it supports, and then the teachings that hang upon it, and then the effects of those teachings.

All religions have a structure on which they hang their teachings, but not all are built on rock, or are hung with the same teachings. That is why many fail and will fail, including the three most popular religions of today.

Truth may create servants but it never creates slaves

It is the Truth that sets you free, and it is that which is not of Truth that enslaves. Servants are rewarded for their work, slaves are not.

It is those who make laws that put locks on doors.

Here is a mystery; I have to close doors that cannot be opened, and I have to open doors that cannot be closed.

As a door to a Truth is opened, a door to a lie is closed; it is time to open and close some doors.

I want to tell you now about some of the things I discovered after my enlightenment when I began to look at religion.

A Wheel Within a Wheel

There is ‘I’ and there is ‘I AM’.

We use the word ‘I’ to refer to the Self, and only the Self.

It is the Self that is aware, not only of the reality of its own existence but also of the reality of that which exists outside of the Self. Put simply; there is ‘I’ and there is that which is not ‘I’.

From the Self’s perspective the Self exists in the centre of infinity, this is because the Self is the centre of the reality that the Self perceives.

The Self is a singular entity that is why the Roman numeral for one is used when referring to the Self. Try replacing the world ‘I’ with ‘One’.

The words ‘we’ or ‘us’ refer to a collection of individual singular entities; 1 + 1 = 2 etc.

The ‘ALL’ refers to all of reality which takes many forms. There is the Self and there is a gathering of Selfs in which each Self retains its individuality, it’s oneness and separateness. The Self and only the Self, exists in its own space.

‘I AM’ means ‘One is’. These are words that describe the image that the Self has of itself in its mind, which exists in a space outside of the Self. So the Self occupies a space that is within and surrounded by another space. In scripture Ezekiel describes this as being like; ‘A wheel within a wheel.’

The mind is the Self’s spiritual universe in which the Self exists as a God.

Every sentient being possesses their own spiritual universe, in which they create, store and compare knowledge in the form of images.

The Self cannot leave its spiritual universe, but it can leave its physical body, taking its spiritual universe with it. The Self can go anywhere it desires when it leaves the physical body, even through walls, and there is no limit to the speed that it can travel. So moving from one place to another in the physical/material universe can appear to be instantaneous. While out of the physical body, all of the Self’s spiritual senses are utilized, as those who have experienced OBEs have found. It is also what makes remote viewing possible.

The Self can never lose its mind, but it can lose control of the things that it has created within the mind.

Every spiritual being is a creator and a ruler of a spiritual universe, and so are defined as Gods

Alternate Reality

Some people have been led to believe that thoughts and images in the mind are not real, but they are real, they are just not a part of the physical/material reality that we perceive through the physical senses.

That which is not real cannot cause an effect, and you know all too well how thoughts and images in the mind can affect you.

It is the realization of the difference between the two forms of reality i.e. spiritual and physical/material that causes an awakening. The realization occurs when the Self begins to question the reality of its own being, in other words when the Self begins to question the nature of ‘I’.

It may surprise some to learn that the physical/material universe was created in the likeness of the spiritual universe. Once this is realized you can see the Truth everywhere.

The Narrow Path

It would be difficult to understand spiritual knowledge without presenting a physical/material likeness i.e., a metaphor or symbol, and you should realize that all spiritual knowledge from Sumerian, through Egyptian, through Judaism and Christianity has been presented only in metaphors and symbols, and that interpreting scriptures metaphorically is the narrow path.

The wide path is the one walked by those who use both metaphorical and literal methods of interpreting, and in doing so they corrupt the teachings.

The ditch is the path walked by those who are incapable of understanding metaphors and can only interpret literally.

The Bible is a collection of preferred scriptures, but they are not all of the scriptures. They are like a tree of knowledge that has had some of its branches pruned. Some of those pruned branches can be found in what is referred to as the Gnostic Gospels. Why do you think that those gospels were omitted and declared heretical?

The Judaic scriptures were always in the hands of the priests and not the people, and so the priests held the power of the spiritual knowledge from which they alone decided to profit. By leaving certain scriptures out and teaching literal interpretations, the people were led away from spiritual knowledge that would have set them free, and instead they were led to believe in only the physical/material. Eventually a New Testament was needed to give people back their understanding of spiritual things, but the same thing happened when Christianity was hijacked.

You cannot set people free and then expect to rule over them

What the corrupted priests did was to first destroy the people’s sense of Self-worth, and then fill them with the fear of punishment, and then offer them a way to avoid that punishment; (problem, reaction, solution). It was no more than an evil and selfish use of psychology, which is knowledge of soul science that is used to manipulate people.

You can see these false teachers even today, surrounded by their worldly treasures, exulting themselves above others and pretending to be what they are not, and full of hypocrisy and deceit.

What they have hidden will be their downfall when it is revealed, it is then that the last prophesy of Fatima will come to fruition.

All religious scriptures are spiritual teachings that is to say, they teach only of the Self, the mind and what is contained in the mind. We refer to such knowledge today as ‘psychology’. All religious books including the Bible are books on psychology (soul science). The Self can possess no greater knowledge.

It should not come as a surprise that those who possess such knowledge are able to control and manipulate the thoughts and actions of others, if and when they wish to do so. The only defence against those who use such knowledge for the benefit of themselves, is to acquire that knowledge also.

The first thing that you must understand about the three main religions is that they have been used to strip you of your Self-confidence, and make you dependent on those who are in charge of the teachings. The same can be said about anyone who misuses psychology (soul science) for their own selfish gains.

It is always the way that those who want to dominate and control you will first destroy your Self-esteem, and then convince you that you have nothing and are nothing on your own. It is those who have had their Self Love destroyed that fear the isolation of being alone the most. First comes the criticism, then the fear, and then the submission to control. If the Self does not submit it then turns to rebellion and hate.

I see the spiritually wounded everywhere. I know them because I was one of them.

It is written that ‘it is a fool who says in his heart that there is no God’ that is because they deny the reality of what they are

The scriptures were always about the Self. It is the Self that is referred to as God. Try replacing the word ‘God’ with ‘the Self’, and the scriptures will begin opening up for you.

A Leap of Faith

When I experienced enlightenment all I could see was a perfect white light. To be in that place felt so natural, as if I was the light itself. There was perfect peace and I was alone, but in that aloneness there was a feeling of safety and empowerment; it was a feeling of complete freedom. I then began to feel something begin to permeate my whole being. It was warm, soft and exciting, as if life itself had awoken. It was Love such as I had never known or imagined could exist, and it was as if I was that Love. I know now that this was my spiritual rebirth, and that it is the destiny of all of us. I could never look at another soul the same again, to me they are all precious and need only the Love, Truth and understanding that will lead them to a perfect and eternal life of bliss.

It was not religion that led me to the light, neither was it a desire for enlightenment, it was simply the wisdom of Love, which was the only Truth that I had faith in.

Love is better than hate. Peace is better than war. Understanding is better than condemnation. Forgiveness is better than the need for vengeance. A hand that gives is better than one that takes.

Searching for spiritual knowledge can be like trying to climb up a steep sand hill where it is difficult to get a foothold. There are many times that we use so much energy and find ourselves unable to move forward at all. Sometimes our foot discovers a rock buried just beneath the sand, and we stop for a rest to regain our strength before we carry on. Those rocks are of course Truths and there are many of them. If we had known where they were we would have reached our destination with ease.

A good teacher does not cover his tracks, he shows the way and guides the feet of others.

Of all the things that are or have ever been, there is nothing more superior than a spiritual being.

Even the smallest of creatures possesses something more precious than the wealth of the whole material universe, and that most precious thing is awareness, without which life could not be experienced.

There has been much talk and a lot of effort to create artificial intelligence, but no matter how complex and life-like they make their machines, there will always be something missing, something that even the smallest of creatures possess, and that is awareness, which is the ability to feel. A program is simply a set of instructions that must be obeyed, and so a program can only follow the instructions that it is given. There is no choice and therefore no free will in a program.

Without the ability to feel there can be no desire, and without desire there can be no freedom of will, no power to disobey a law.

There is more profit in a single tear shed for someone else

than in a thousand tears shed for the Self

Searching for spiritual knowledge can be like trying to climb up a steep sand hill where it is difficult to get a foothold. Machines cannot make mistakes, spiritual beings can

We are not biological machines and we are not a program. We are the animators and programmers of biological machines, and we can change the programs as and when we desire to do so, because we created and control the programs.

I read so much about the spirit while on my search, and yet no one ever gave a clear explanation of what the word ‘spirit’ actually meant or was. It is the same for the words ‘I’ and ‘I AM’, we are only ever given vague definitions. So I want to share my understanding of these things with you now, and in doing so, give you rocks to stand on instead of sand.

The Mystery of the Spirit

There is ‘I’ and there is ‘I AM’.

‘I’ is a reference to the Self.

‘I AM’ is a reference to the Self’s image of itself. That image is found in the mind and it represents the Self’s personality.

The Self’s personality changes according to the spirits that form that personality.

There are two main personalities i.e. The Christ personality and the Satan personality. It is the Self that chooses which one it will be at any given time.

It is amazing how often the word ‘spirit is used and how little it is understood, for example: Holy Spirit, spirits of Love, spirits of light, spirits of darkness, in the spirit, spirit of life, the seven spirits of God, the spirit speaks etc. I have said many times that we are spiritual beings, which means that the spirit was with us from the very first moment of our life journey.

Listen and understand as that which has been made to appear so complex and beyond understanding, is brought into the light and made so simple that even a child will understand.

Nothing can be known unless it is first felt.

Awareness is feeling

Only spiritual beings are capable of feeling.

Spiritual beings are feeling beings.

The spirit is the feeling.

The spirit/feeling, is the breath of life.

The spirit/feeling is caused by knowledge. What you don’t know is what you are unaware of, and what you are unaware of cannot affect your spirits/feelings. What you don’t know can’t hurt you.

Ignorance is bliss, but only until the unknown becomes known

Within the Light

Everything that exists, every component of reality, exists within its own space, with its own unique state of vibration, and it is those states of vibration that form our perception of reality.

To perceive is to sense, to sense is to become aware of, to become aware of is to feel the effect of. To feel is to know.

There can be no effect without a cause, in other words, there can be no reaction without there first being an action. This means that whatever has an effect on the Self must be real, it must exist as a separate entity with its own power. That which is not real cannot cause an effect. There is real, which is something and there is unreal which is nothing.

There are not many people who stop to question the nature and reality of thoughts and images in the mind, they simply compare them to physical/material things, and reason that because they are not physical/material things they cannot be real, and yet without the reality of the Self and mind, the reality of the physical/material world could not be known.

Everything has its vibrational state, and it is these states of vibration that are the Spirit of things. When we first become aware of something it is because we feel the effect of it, we feel its vibrational state; we feel its Spirit.

Feeling is not seeing, this is why Spiritual things are invisible.

Spiritual things remain invisible until the Self interprets and creates an image of them, and all images are created with light.

It is the feeling that causes awareness, and it is the light of images that cause consciousness.

The Spirit remains within and concealed by the light.
